A fun and easy way to get the new books you want to read, and share your books with other kids.

Hi, I'm Stephanie and I like to read...a lot. I go through books pretty quickly, especially if there's another book in the series to read afterwards! Books are awesome and exciting, but they can also be expensive. My parents say I go through hundreds of dollars in books each year and while they're happy that I love to read, sometimes it only takes a few days to read a book and then I need another one. My mom says its more expensive than dance lessons or a hockey ticket!

Once I've read a book, it sits on my shelf until I clean out my room, and then gets put in the basement or simply thrown out.

I've tried using the library but they often don't have the latest books that I'm looking for. When they do, the books have already been borrowed by someone else.

So with the help of my parents, I decided to create the Kids Book Exchange, a "place' in Langley, BC where kids can exchange books with other kids. It's great for the environment, saves my parents money, gets me new books sooner, and I don't have to clean out my room as often!

  1. Create Account: You'll need your parents' permission (and their credit card).
  2. List Your Books: Enter your old or unwanted books into our database for other kids to find.
  3. Find & Reserve: Search or browse our database for books you want to read. Reserve them online!
  4. Make the Exchange: Come to our fun Kids Book Exchange meetings, held every two weeks in Langley. Bring your old books to share, and pick up the books you've reserved!
  5. Repeat the process!
